Piano tuner said carbon fiber parts of Kawai K3 piano make the sound mellow, while wood parts of YAMAHA U1 piano make the sound brighter. The KAWAI K3 sound seems better in low tone. I prefer playing YAMAHA U1 piano, but listening to KAWAI K3 piano.

Learnt from piano shop, new YAMAHA U1 is almost 2K more than KAWAI K3 piano. Search from internet for used pianos, YAMAHA U1 looks more popular in Singapore and has good reselling value.
