I have teached piano for more than 10 years, maybe I can give you some advice.

For young beginner to start, better to use the following piano books
Music Flash Cards – Set A
Josephine And Florence Koh: Rhythmatics
Scales And Arpeggios For Piano - Fingering Method Grade 1
Improve your Sight-reading Grade 1 Paul Harris (Piano)
POCO Ying Ying Ng: Music Theory For Young Musicians - Grade 1
Junior Hanon
Hanon Complete
Czerny Practical Method, Op. 599, Complete

And if you're willing to take ABRSM piano exam, then you need to ABRSM exam books as well
ABRSM Piano Exam Pieces 2019-2020 Grade 1
ABRSM Specimen Aural Tests, Grades 1–3
ABRSM Piano scales and Broken Chords G1
ABRSM Piano Specimen Sight Reading Tests Grade 1

I'd like to buy some piano books for my son, 5 years old, who is very interested in music.
What kind of piano books are good for young beginner, to keep their interest in piano, and will take ABRSM piano exams in future? Any recommendation?
