I have A YAMAHA U1 piano, used about 10 years. Since last week, I found some keys sound very strange, when I pressed and held the key, the sound came out twice like I played two times, but I just pressed and held the key, why? And I noticed one G# sound like blocked, anything wrong with my piano?

When we press and hold the key, the hammer will hit the string first and then bounce back to a fixed position. The action of your piano got problem, it make the hammers keep shaking after bouncing, which will hit the string twice or more, or cause the hammer hitting and leaning on the string to generate a blocked tone. To solve this problem, your piano need regulation service. |
