Piano heater bar

My piano heater bar has stopped working:(, it seems the one that was provided with the piano was only 8w. 
From what I have read on various forums this is insufficient for Singapore's humidity. My question is for an upright what wattage is sufficient , so far I have only really found 25w heater bars on sale in Singapore? One tech was even suggesting 50w

Can anyone advise, what is the norm where?
